Create a Social Campaign

Creating standalone social messages will help with your quick one-off messages, but creating social campaigns will allow you to create multiple social messages easier. A Social Campaign helps you create, organize, and track multiple social messages as a group. You can search your calendar for the title of the Social Campaign and use them in filters for Calendar Views. You can also use them in conjunction with Social Templates to make scheduling your messages even quicker.

Create Your Social Campaign

  1. From your calendar, click +Create
  2. Select Social, then Social Campaign

Add Social Messages

  1. If you'd like to add a link to your social messages, start by clicking the link button and entering a URL. It is not required to enter a link when using a Social Campaign, but doing so allows CoSchedule to grab the title, excerpt, and all the images from the attached link.
  2. Click + next to the relative or custom date to create a Social Message within the campaign. More information about creating social messages can be found here.
  3. If you've added a URL in the link field, the {title} and {permalink} social helpers will automatically be added to your social message. These social helpers (text in orange) will display the Title and Permalink of the link that was added. You may delete any of these social helpers if desired.
  4. When you are finished creating Social Messages, change the status of your project from Draft to Scheduled. If a social campaign is not in the Scheduled state, the social messages will not be published. Note that Social Messages within your campaign do not have a status, instead, all social message statuses are set at the project level.
