Zapier with CoSchedule

Use the Zapier integration to sync a variety of applications with CoSchedule. Zapier is a third-party tool that helps you automate repetitive tasks between two or more apps—no code necessary. It works around the concepts of Triggers and Actions, meaning if something happens in one app (the event Trigger) then something happens in another app (the Action). How to Connect CoSchedule to Zapier

  1. Open Settings, then click Integrations on the left-side menu
  2. Locate Zapier and click Enable
  3. Click to Copy your API Key (you will need this key when connecting CoSchedule inside Zapier)
  4. Log into your Zapier account and click My Apps on the left-side menu
  5. Click Add Connection, then locate and click CoSchedule
  6. In the page that opens, paste your API Key and click Yes, Continue
  7. Your CoSchedule calendar is now connected to Zapier. Click on Test to check if Zapier is connecting correctly.

Create a Zap

There are two ways to use CoSchedule with Zapier:
  • An event triggered in CoSchedule performs an action in another app
  • An event triggered in another app performs an action in CoSchedule
Log into Zapier to create a Zap. Click Create Zap and use the instructions below depending on the type of Zap you want to create.

 Create a Zap with CoSchedule as the Trigger

  1. Click Choose App and search CoSchedule
  2. Next, choose the event that will act as the Trigger (see options below)
  3. After choosing, click Continue
  4. Once you click Continue, set up the Options for your trigger. On the next screen, test the Zap and click Create & Continue
  5.  Next, you will select an action app for your zap
  • New Project Triggers when a new project is created
  • New Event Triggers when a new event is created
  • New Message Triggers when a new message is created
  • New Marketing Campaign Triggers when a new marketing campaign is created
  • New Task Triggers when a new standalone task is created on the calendar (Project tasks and personal tasks created from the Home Page are not included with this trigger)

Create a Zap with CoSchedule as the Action

  1. Once you have created your Trigger, it is time to create your Action
  2. Click Choose App and search CoSchedule
  3. Next, choose the action that will take place after your triggered event (see options below)
  4. After choosing, click Continue 
  5. The next page will prompt you to choose which CoSchedule calendar you want to work with. Choose the Calendar and click Save + Continue
  6. The "Set Up Template" page will be where you choose all of the information you want to be added to your Zap. Once you have completed the template, click Continue.
  7. On the next screen, test the Zap and click Create & Continue. Depending on the application you chose for your Trigger, your Zap may update instantly or every 5-15 minutes.
  • Create Project Create a project and add it to your calendar OR your unscheduled workboard
  • Create Marketing Campaign  Create a Marketing Campaign and add it to your calendar
  • Create Task Create a task and add it to your calendar
  • Create Social Message Create a Social Message and add it to your calendar
  • Create Event Create an Event and add it to your calendar
