Anytime you need to plan anything on your calendar, add content to the calendar. This will make sure that you are more successful to get that event successfully planned.
Working On Your First Content
Let's create your first content on your calendar. Hover-over the date you want to start your content and click +. Add a title to your content then click Create.
The title can be anything that you are wanting to plan like, "Bowling Blog Post," "Garage Sale Social Campaign" or "Company Picnic."
Inside content, begin to create tasks for yourself help you finish your goal. Keep it simple at first so you do not overwhelm yourself.
For example, if I am working on a blog post, I am just going to work on a few tasks like "Write the first draft," "Create graphics," "Schedule social messages" and "Final blog post edit." If you are planning an event, think of all the little errands you need to run before that event.
Once you begin to work on your tasks, use content to house all of your ideas, images, or copy. As marketers, we are used to having to work with many different tools, but with CoSchedule you can keep the entire process inside of each content you create. It helps eliminate the issue of scrambling for certain information in our noisy, busy day.
The key to being successful with your marketing plan will be to start small then slowly build. Same goes for getting started on your new marketing calendar. Don't feel the need to get everything in CoSchedule right away. Start with a couple of key projects or campaigns and build from there. You will be surprised how full your calendar will get in a couple of minutes.
Let's now learn about creating our first social campaign.
