How to Publish Google Business Profile Updates

You can create, schedule, and publish standard updates, events, and offers to your Google Business Profile directly through CoSchedule. Make sure you have Google My Business connected to your calendar.

Standard Update

  1. From your calendar, click the orange Create button in the upper right corner.
  2. Click Social, then select Social Message.
  3. Select your Google Business Profile, then choose Update.
  4. Use the text field to add your event description.
  5. Click the camera icon if you'd like to add an image to your update (you can add one image per update).
  6. In the Button Label field, you have the option to add a call to action.
  7. If you add a call to action button, enter the URL to which you'd like the user directed in the Button Link field.
  8. Select the date and time you'd like the update to be published.
  9. Click Save.

Event Update

  1. From your calendar, click the orange Create button in the upper right corner.
  2. Click Social, then select Social Message.
  3. Select your Google Business Profile, then choose Event.
  4. Use the text field to add your event description.
  5. Click the camera icon if you'd like to add an image to your update (you can add one image per update).
  6. Use the Event Title field to enter the name of the event.
  7. Select a start date and end date. The start date can be in the past, but the end date must be in the future. If the event start and end dates are on the same date the time fields will become required, otherwise they are optional. Time will match the time zone of the Google My Business location, not your calendar time zone.
  8. In the Button Label field, you have the option to add a call to action.
  9. If you add a call to action button, enter the URL to which you'd like the user directed in the Button Link field.
  10. Select the date and time you'd like the update to be published.
  11. Click Save.
 

Offer Update

  1. From your calendar, click the orange Create button in the upper right corner.
  2. Click Social, then select Social Message.
  3. Select your Google Business Profile, then choose Offer.
  4. Use the text field to add your event description.
  5. Click the camera icon if you'd like to add an image to your update (you can add one image per update).
  6. Use the Offer Title field to enter the name of the offer.
  7. Select a start date and end date. If the offer is valid for only one day, Google My Business will default to it being valid from Midnight to Midnight of that day in the time zone of the location — there is no way to control the time on offers.
  8. Toggle to show Advanced Options if you'd like to add a coupon code, offer link, or terms & conditions.
  9. The Coupon Code field is where you can enter a code to be displayed to get the offer.
  10. The Offer Link field is where you can enter a URL to which you'd like the user directed.
  11. Terms & Conditions is an open-ended text field where you can add your terms.
  12. Select the date and time you'd like the update to be published.
  13. Click Save.
