Invalid File Type

If you have added a File Attachment to a Project in CoSchedule you have the ability to update that file by clicking the "Upload New" button. However, it must be the same type of file as the original file uploaded. If the file is a different type, you will receive the Invalid File Type error: "When uploading a file, it must be the same type of file as the original file uploaded."

There are four different types of files in CoSchedule:

  • Image: JPG, GIF, PNG, etc.
  • Video: MP4, MPG, MOV, etc.
  • Document: DOC, DOCX, PDF, TXT, etc.
  • Other: Any file type not pertaining to Image, Videos, or Documents.
You can upload a file with a different format, but you can't cross over to a different type. For instance, if you originally uploaded a .jpg file, you can upload a new .png file but not an .mp4 file. If you are receiving an Invalid File Type error and still want to upload your new file type, add a new file attachment to your project.
